Water Damage Restoration in Jarrell, TX

Water damage restoration in Jarrell, TX

Jarrell was founded in 1909 where an old stage road crossed the Bartlett Western Railroad, and it swallowed the older village of Corn Hill nearby. It peaked at 500 people in 1914, lost the railroad in 1935, and shrank to about 200. On May 27, 1997, an F5 tornado erased the Double Creek Estates subdivision on the north side of town and killed 27 people, the event most of the country still associates with the name. The town has since grown from 459 people in 2000 to 1,753 in 2020, and the Sonterra subdivision off I-35 has added thousands more just outside the city limits.

Jarrell sits where the limestone of the Hill Country meets the Blackland clay, about 25 miles north of Round Rock, and most of the housing is new slab construction on both. The older houses along the highway are frame homes from the early 1900s.

This site routes Jarrell homeowners to an independent local water damage provider by phone. The provider looks at the house before a scope is written.

Jarrell water damage in Sonterra and the old town

A supply line that split in the attic of a Sonterra house during the February 2021 freeze is burst pipe water damage work, and the ceiling below is metered first. A warm spot on a slab floor with a rising bill is a leak detection call. A washer hose that let go while the family was out leaves a clean-water mess that water extraction pulls off the tile before drying starts.

The Jarrell permit desk and the water district next door

Repairs inside the city limits go through the City of Jarrell, which issues permits and runs the city's water and sewer. Sonterra and the other subdivisions outside the limits sit in a municipal utility district and pull permits from Williamson County instead, so tell the crew which side of the line you are on.
